![]() Linked files are also not supported in the Zotero iOS app. They also can't be used within a group library, as there's no guarantee that other group members would have access to the same file location. Linked files are not synced, nor are they deleted if the attachment item is deleted in Zotero. With linked files, Zotero only stores a link to the location of the original file on your computer. We strongly recommend using stored files for the most seamless experience. If you prefer to find files without going through Zotero, you can use your operating system's search features (e.g., Spotlight on macOS) or create a smart folder in your OS to show a list of all PDFs within your Zotero data directory and interact with the files directly. To use stored files outside of Zotero, you can use Zotero's search and organization abilities to quickly find the relevant items and then either drag the attachments straight from Zotero (e.g., into an email) or right-click and choose Show File to view the files in your file manager. An upcoming version of Zotero will allow you to choose how long to keep synced files on a given computer in order to limit disk space usage, temporarily redownloading files when you need them. When using Zotero file syncing, you can choose to download stored files only as needed, avoiding the need to download all files to every device. If you add a stored file from a file on your computer, the file is copied to the Zotero data directory, so you may wish to delete the original to avoid confusion. If you use file syncing, Zotero will automatically sync stored files between devices and make them available in your online library on. News, Blogs & EventsNews, blogs & events from the library.Stored files, which are the default, are stored within the Zotero data directory, and Zotero will automatically manage them, including deleting them if you delete the attachment item in Zotero. ![]() Our LibraryAnnual reports, mission, values, history, and policies.Support the LibraryFind out how you can support the library.ExhibitsCurrent and past exhibits at the library.Staff Directoråontact information for staff at the library.Jobs at the LibraryFaculty, staff, and student job opportunities.Office and Department ContactsView a list of the departments at the library.Request a Research AppointmentContact us to schedule an in-person appointment.English 100 StudentsThe starting point for English 100 research.Technology in the LibraryWireless access, scanning, printing.Copyright HelpLinks to resources about copyright.Subject LibrariansFind a librarian for a specific subject.Accessibility and DisabilityInformation about accessibility and disability.Ask a LibrarianGet help by email, online form, or phone.Scholarly CommunicationLearn about scholarly communication, open access, and our institutional repositories ScholarSpace, eVols, and the UH System Repository.OneSearchFinds books and other materials in the UH Manoa Library's collection.Research GuidesGuides for subjects, select courses, and general information.JournalsSearch journals by title or subject.Online DatabasesSearch across 100s of library databases.CollectionsAn overview of the various library collections.Loanable Technologåables, adaptors, audio and video equipment, and other devices.Other ServicesApply for a research carrel or reserve our lactation room.Suggest a PurchaseSuggest new materials that support teaching, study, or research.Library InstructionRequest library instruction for your course or register for a workshop.Services for Faculty and InstructorsA list of services offered to faculty and instructors at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.Course ReservesHow to access course-related materials reserved by faculty for their students.Study SpacesAreas for individual and group study and how to reserve them.Borrow, Renew, RequestHow to borrow materials, request pdf scans, and interlibrary loans.
